His single "Crazy Enough" featuring Louise Carver is No. 19 on the What's In-Store Music Currents Chart garnering 69,084 plays just last week alone. Despite his success in the music industry, he still has a passion for radio, where he got his start.
Tell us about your radio career and what you love most about being on the air.
My first gig was at WKZS in Auburn, ME. I started as an overnight board op and would go on to work for Open House Party, XM Radio’s BPM and even WXKS before landing an on air shift at 103.3 Amp Radio in Boston. My favorite part is talking to our listeners. My main show is on Saturday nights and they always have the most interesting drunken adventures that they can’t wait to share with me … haha!
You’re still on the air at Boston’s 103.3 Amp Radio. What five songs are you loving, currently?
Bruno Mars & Cardi B "Finese"
Don Diablo ft ARIZONA "Take Her Place"
Walk The Moon "One Foot"
Jonas Blue ft Moelogo "We Could Go Back"
Marren Morris "I Could Use A Love Song"
You’ve shared the stage with Madonna, Rhianna, Lady Gaga, Tiesto and Calvin Harris. Was there an experience with any of these superstars and made an impact on you or changed your perspective on life?
I would say all of those experiences have had an impact on what I do. Seeing firsthand how hard they all work to maintain that level of success is inspiring.
Your track latest “Crazy Enough” featuring Louise Carver is really taking off. Can you share some stats with us?
It’s already being supported by some pretty big name DJs like Afrojack, Don Diablo and Fedde le Grand. Spotify has added it to 2 of their official playlists (Fresh Electronica and Friday Cratediggers). And it was the #1 breakout on the Billboard Dance Club Chart last week.
When you’re not playing and making music you’re making a difference in the community. What causes and projects are you currently supporting?
Something that’s close to my heart is the Samaritans. They are a nonprofit organization that helps prevent suicide in the greater Boston area.
Finally, a shameless plug: What would you like our readers to know about you?
I’m a sucker for a good smoothie and could use some suggestions for when I’m on the road. The thicker and healthier the better ☺
