How and when did you get your start in the music business?
Well, in my head I’ve been in the music business since I was 11 years old but I finally could afford to pay rent around 2012.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received, both professional and personal?
Do your best and never expect anything.
You’ve worked with the industry’s biggest names and received accolades and awards for your music. What accomplishment makes you most proud?
I genuinely cherish all of my accomplishments, but playing the Hollywood bowl with Kygo as my first show was unforgettable.
Tell us about "Uncrazy" and working with Rebecca Ferguson.
I met Rebecca in Los Angeles. She came over to work on her album and this was the first song we did together. “Uncrazy” is about having that person that is there for you no matter what you’re feeling. Finding that person that makes you feel safe even though you haven’t got it all together.
What’s In-Store Music had the chance to visit your studio. What’s it like working there with other artists and producers.
I feel blessed to have worked and to keep working with amazing talent. It’s exciting to be part of every artist’s journey through writing songs together.
Finally, a shameless plug: What would you like our readers to know about you?
I’m completely incapable of doing shameless plugs but if you enjoy half decent music you can follow me on Spotify ;)
