New Music from Stephanie Seymour

"In the late 80's I hired a talented young lady to join the promotion department at Island Records. Stephanie Seymour was not only a great addition to our team but was an accomplished musician as the drummer in The Aquanettas and then the lead singer in Birdy. Stephanie went on to have a long career at Virgin Records. Stephanie has never stopped performing and recording and has just released a great new project called "There Are Birds" which we are pleased to highlight here." - Bob Catania An avid birdwatcher since 2004, Stephanie Seymour's melodic, harmony-laden album "There Are Birds" answers the musical question, "What happens when you combine Aimee Mann, Chrissie Hynde, and Karen Carpenter, add a dash of Matthew Sweet, and mix thoroughly with bird-related tales and imagery?" It's an album about birds, nature, the passage of time, and Stephanie's relationship with these things and more. It's her story told from a bird's perspective and birds' stories revealed through her worldview. Her music appeals not only to those her share her fondness for birds, but to anyone who loves a good pop song! Featured players on this CD include Charlie Giordano from the E Street Band, Sim Cain from Rollins Band, Bob Perry from Winter Hours, and James Mastro from Ian Hunter's Rant Band.
