"I went up to Bear Mountain with a buddy of mine. That's actually where I took the picture of the One Way sign. Coming home from that trip I wrote the first half of the song. From that really came the theme of the album, that being finding yourself and staying true to what you believe is right and the idea of Bear Mountain being the place you go to find yourself really left a lot of leeway for the rest of the album. The second half of the song came a few months later when I had already written half of the album. I really just wanted something that began with a single instrument and opened up in the second half."
