"I got the inspiration from a pin a friend gave me that said Sail Away With Me. I was in the middle of playing a new guitar melody when I just started messing around with that phrase. From there the song developed, expressing several meanings. Love interests to the literal sense of sailing away or to even escaping reality for just a moment.
