(Retro) Out & About

Here is this week's (Retro) Out & About. What's In-Store Music's Bob Catania is seen here with the Donovan guitar on Sunset Boulevard that was created by the legendary creative director, Kosh. This guitar is part of an art project called Gibson Guitar Town Sunset Strip that began in 2010. Local artists were given 10 foot tall Les Paul guitars that they then decorated to commemorate musicians associated with the strip. Kosh did the Donovan guitar based on the artwork he created for the Cosmic Wheels album. The guitar is still on display in front of the parking garage at 9000 Sunset. Bob works with Kosh in promoting the legacy of the greatest creative director in rock history: you may know a few of his designs: Abbey Road; Let It Be; Who's Next; the ELO logo; Hotel California; and three Grammy winning designs for Linda Ronstadt. Kosh also hosts a podcast called The Art of Rock with Kosh and Friends!
