Shawn Cash, Lead Sound Designer at Spectrio, Out & About as The Mandalorian!!!
While many of us were peeling down to our swimsuits and t-shirts over the Memorial Day weekend, Shawn Cash, suited up in layers as The Mandalorian and headed out in the blazing California heat to raise money for charity. By day, Shawn is the lead sound designer at Spectrio, responsible for creating all the different environments for thousands of businesses across the country as well as approving and scheduling, the majority of the music heard overhead by What's In-Store Music clients. During his spare time, he hosts a YouTube channel called TTFS (short for Try To Finish Something) which tackles a lot of different projects, including STAR WARS costumes! Armed with his 3D Printer and his attention to detail, Shawn recently finished the original Mandalorian costume from season one. His creation was so spot on that he was invited to join the 501st, which is a Lucas Film approved costume club. As a member of this elite group, one is permitted to "officially" represent STAR WARS, which is exactly what he did. For his maiden voyage as a member of the 501st, Shawn suited up for not one, but two charity events over the holiday weekend. The first was for the Boys and Girls Club of Sacramento, where he helped raise more than $5,000!!! The second was a special event on Monday to honor veterans at the Castle Airbase Museum. The museum, a unique place, is funded one hundred percent by donations from patrons and the tours are given by the very same pilots and mechanics who flew and or worked on the amazing planes and helicopters on display there. Hats off to Shawn for donating his time over the holiday weekend to help these wonderful causes. We are proud of you buddy!
